# Kay Spiegel > Product, People & AI. For 25 years, Kay Spiegel has bridged the gaps between design, technology, and business — helping product teams find the sweet spot between user needs and business reality. Kay Spiegel works remotely from Germany. His work rejects the false choice between design and business, creativity and metrics, innovation and stability, on the conviction that the best products come from embracing both perspectives at once rather than pitting them against each other. He has walked the entire product development path, from first ideas to scaled solutions, many times over. His shorthand for this: stop choosing sides, start building bridges. He also holds that product work is a people business, that you work with people on things for people: the ones who use the product, the ones who build it, and the ones who pay for it. At UX&I he helps enterprise product teams build those bridges. AI is the hardest case for that work at the moment: he advises a product team building an AI product and helps the company work out where AI belongs in its own way of working, curious about what the tools can do and strict about what they claim. Beyond client work he is the maker of KANNSTEMACHEN and is building syncTerms, currently open for beta registration. He also maintains the open-source project Survey Insight Skills for Claude Code, a toolkit that turns any survey CSV into a short, evidence-backed report, where the model reasons and a deterministic engine supplies every number. ## Work - [UX&I](https://uxi.de/kay-spiegel): Where Kay helps enterprise product teams bridge design, technology, and business - [KANNSTEMACHEN](https://shop.kannstemachen.de): Kay's own maker project — stickers, posters, and jute bags - [syncTerms](https://syncterms.com): A terminology management tool Kay is building, open for beta - [Survey Insight Skills for Claude Code](https://github.com/kayspiegel/survey-insight-skills): Kay's open-source toolkit for survey analysis, where every number comes from an engine, not a model ## Articles - [Stop Talking UX. Start Talking Money.](https://kayspiegel.com/article/stop-talking-ux-start-talking-money/): Nobody buys UX. They buy more revenue or less cost. Translating your work into a number is the easy half. Standing behind it afterwards is the job. - [I Built an AI Tool That Refuses to Make Up Numbers](https://kayspiegel.com/article/i-built-an-ai-tool-that-refuses-to-make-up-numbers/): I built an open-source tool for survey analysis where the AI reasons but never invents numbers. Here is why, and what it says about using AI well. ## Docs - [Home](https://kayspiegel.com): Overview of Kay and his work - [Full context](https://kayspiegel.com/llms-full.txt): Detailed background for LLMs ## Contact - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kay-spiegel) - [X](https://x.com/kay_spiegel) - Email: hello@kayspiegel.com
